Itinerary
Picked up from your accommodation in Marrakech, we head towards the Dades Gorges passing through the Port of Tizi-n-Tichka in the High Atlas, with breathtaking views of the mountains. Passing through traditional Berber villages of the High Atlas.
We will continue to Kasbah Ait Benhaddou to visit the UNESCO Cultural Heritage site. We will have lunch in Ait benhaddou or Ouarzazate to take a nice photo of the Kasbah Taourirt and the atlas studies, and continue to the Dades Gorges, passing through the Valley of Roses. We will spend one night in a riad/hotel in the Dades Gorges.
After breakfast, we will drive from the Dades Gorges to the Sahara desert of Erg Chebbi in Merzouga.
We will contemplate along the way Berber villages, we will pass by the Todra Gorge, Tenhir, Tinjdad, Jorf and Erfoud where we will begin to feel the desert. We will dive into the oasis of the Sahara of Tafilalet, then continue towards Merzouga.
After spending a few moments admiring the golden dunes, we will collect some luggage (enough for a night in the desert) and leave the rest in the car.
We will start the adventure in dromedary, a gentle walk crossing the dunes of Erg Chebbi at sunset . It will be an opportunity to take spectacular photographs. When we get to the camp, anyone who wants adventure will dare to climb the highest dune. Incomparable environment to watch the sunset.
We will spend the night in the Berber shops and enjoy the drum music in
middle of the desert.
Day 2
Duration: 9 to 10 hours trip including stops and visits.
Great opportunity to wake up, early morning to see the sunrise over the dunes, unforgettable experience.
We enjoyed breakfast at the campsite and then climb back on the dromedaries to return to Merzouga, to our vehicle.
We start the journey back to Marrakech passing through different Berber areas and villages (Alnif, Tazarine, N'kob) .
We cross the mountains of the high Atlas, contemplating its landscapes "of another planet" we continue until Ouarzazate where we will take the same road, crossing the high Atlas until Marrakech where we will arrive in the afternoon/night.
