Itinerary
Arrival at Menara Airport in Marrakech, picked up at the airport by our team and transferred to accommodation. Welcome tea with Arabic sweets.
Free time to take a tour of the famous Jamaa la Fna square, a UNESCO cultural heritage site, or stroll through the medina.
Return to accommodation.
Departure after breakfast from Marrakech to the southeast of Morocco.
We cross the High Atlas, then a mandatory stop at the film town Ksar ait Benhaddou, a beautiful town declared a World Heritage Site that has been the setting for countless series and films.
Stop in Ouarzazate, the gateway to the desert, where we will learn why it is called the “city of cinema” . After this panoramic visit we return to the route of the thousand Kasbah.
Stop in the Valley of Roses, where we will learn how traditional rose water is made .
We finish the tour in the Dades Valley where we arrive at sunset.
Night in hotel.
Day 2
Duration: Between 9 and 10 hours of travel including visits and stops.
After breakfast, we will continue along the banks of the Boulmane, where a signposted path opens from the Kasbah (citadel) and ksour (fortresses or castles). , whose landscape is ocher, red and mauve.
Around us we will find stony plateaus where dromedaries graze. After a route full of a thousand Kasabah, oases and palm trees we will arrive at Tineghir (where the spectacular Todra gorges are located) perched at 1,350 m altitude and surrounded by a palm grove .
We continue towards Erfoud (city of fossils) and dates, where we begin to taste the authentic desert life .
We will arrive in the afternoon to Merzouga, in front of the Erg Chebbi dunes. There the dromedaries await us to enter the desert , while the sun sets. Camel route until we reach the tent camp in the middle of the desert, where we will spend the night in a tent.
Dinner and traditional drumming by the campfire . Unique opportunity to enjoy a magical night under the stars of the desert.
Day 3
Duration: 6 to 7 hours of travel including visits and stops.
After breakfast we will surround the Erg Chebbi, an extension of sand desert where the Great Dune of Morocco is located, more than 250 meters high , connecting by track with part of the route followed by the old Paris-Dakar, with the mountains that They border Algeria in the background. The first stop will be at the Tissardmin oasis .
We will continue the trip until we reach a nomadic settlement where we will learn some secrets of their life and customs .
After the first stop we will arrive at a panoramic point where we can see the Erg Chebbi together . The next stop will be in Khamlia , a town originally from Mali, where we can relax with tea while enjoying a small Gnawa music concert.
Return to the hostel where we will eat to gain strength for a camel route of an hour and a half that will take us to the foot
of the Great Dune, sheltered from the beautiful desert sunset .
We will sleep in a tent in the middle of the desert under the spectacular blanket of stars. Includes: breakfast + camel route + dinner + night in the desert.
Day 4
Duration: 7 to 8 hours of travel including stops and visits.
After breakfast at the camp, we return with our camel to the vehicles.
We will visit the exotic typical market of Rissani (Morocco's first imperial city) , the largest market in southern Morocco in the purest medieval style. We continue the path through the Draa Valley and we will contemplate its kasbahs and palm groves . We crossed the High Atlas and its “topo” landscapes. We return to Ouarzazate. We cross the high atlas again and arrive in Marrakech at night at the Hotel.
Day 5
Duration: 10 or 11 hours of travel including stops and visits.
End of the tour and transfer to the airport - Breakfast at the hotel and at the indicated time transfer to the airport to take flight to your hometown.
